Namaste,
I came across a project run by Iskcon called - Akshayapatra . It helps bring midday meals to 5 lakh poor children in schools in 4 states of India.
I am amazed at the scale of the project and the impact it has on the well being of so many children.
Putting aside our differences in views , can we step back to appreciate and learn from these motivated people.

As Dev can tell you, I have been discussing the organizational merits of ISKCON for quite some time. This is yet another example of how having a clear fundament frees up energy - which we currently spend on political squabbles and liturgical debates - for actual humanitarian work. My hat is off to the folks of ISKCON. I know they have had their problems, and are still suffering from internal quarrels, however they are without a doubt one of the most (pro-)active dharmic religious organizations out there.
