Namaste,
I have two complaints about the background music:
1)There needs to be some button we can press to stop it
2)She pronounces 'vareniyam' incorrectly She pronounces it as 'varenyam' _________________

But varenyam is correct PD, Not varenIyam.
(She is Anuradha Paudwal ...btw, and I dont like her rendition at all.)
I agree about something to stop the music though. |

| OK! lol, I can stop the music. I didn't think people were going to be spending so much time on the index page anyways. I know I don't. |

Namaste,
The word 'Varenyam' is correctly pronounced.
Personally, I think Anuradha's rendition of the Gayathri Mantra is very soothing to the soul, and calming to my senses. Also, there should be something that allows the user to mute the audio file, if s/he dislikes it.
I'm sure Shishya will make it possible for users to stop/play the audio file, as they like.

Namaste Devo,
The original code is embedded, so it's not easy to get it to stop on command. I would have to add a player to the page with a 'play' and 'stop' button, which wouldn't look very good.
I've taken it off for now. However, I could also program it to play once and only once when the page is loaded. (Right now it's on continual 'loop'.) How does that sound? _________________ Namaste,

Namaste Bro,
I understand. For now you can just leave it as it is, or put the player on the Portal Page, along side the Aryan Radio.
I have the one hour long audio file, if you're interested in using that, bro.

Yea you're right - i read that stuff some days back. The thing is, the 'i' is kept in subscript to indicate the ेण maatraa. From what i know - the accents and others have to be pronounced correctly..
The reason the page causes prob to me is - i'm a multitasker - i leave a lot of tabs open; refreshing em when i feel like it. So I have to listen to it which disturbs the songs i'm listening to [esp. 'chasing cars']
What code are you using to embed the song btw, shishya? _________________

Namaste PD,

Just a basic HTML EMBED code, nothing fancy. The only variables are AUTOSTART and LOOP, either of which can be changed to false. _________________ Namaste,
