Laws of vedas would mean manu smriti, and government refuses to accept anything from manu smriti.

Namaste Prabhat,

The principles of Vedic Government is by no means based purely on Manu Smriti. The Vedas, most notably the Rig Veda and the Atharva Veda, contain a great deal of information regarding good government.

For reference, you can also check out the link below:

Vedic System of Government

Also, refer to the 6th Chapter of the Satyarth Prakash for more.

I'm referring to vedic law in detail, and it is no doubt difficult to extract the vedic law from vedas. Many a times do we have to draw comparisons with other dharmasastras to get an idea of law in vedas, which is what I mean.

Whatever it be, I dont see much in the available vedic law which will help us improvise the constitution.

Blame Ambedkar.... He's blamed hindus for many a things, sticking to gross misinterpretations. He was simply an anti-brahmin, so decided to go to any heights to claim superiority of dalits, making himself no different than the racist brahmins of his day. His many suggestions involve:
1. Hinduism is simply brahminism [dominated by brahmins]
2. It is a barbaric religion with no hope of equality
3. Dalits are the original residents of india, aryans invaded india. Originally they were given equal status but with the passage of time, brahmins became jealous so denounced them to status lower than shudras.
4. Buddhists did all the hard work, brahmins stole it from them.
5. Manu Smriti is the evidence of the evils of hinduism

B.R. Ambedkar was the chief architect of Indian Constitution. He overcame many challenges being born in a untouchable community ,not even alowed to sit inside a class with others in school but he became a great lawyer and scholar . He converted to Buddhism along with many followers.
Today in India he is the God for untouchables/dalits/backward classes and as a competitor to Gandhiji. Gandhiji is a Hindu and called the Dalits Harijans - chidren of Hari( god). The dalits reject that name today.

There might have been a great role he played (he was my hero though myself being 'born in a brahmin family') but I feel that he made many wrong decisions in his life. I wont say he was 'misled' - he was totally independent at a point of time to make his own decisions. He settled to defaming vedas and hinduism. The constitution he wrote, he doesn't comply with it himself [I read some scraps about his ideas in voiceofdharma.org; where he said he wrote a constitution he hated] so I don't really attribute a lot to him, other than the fact that he must've done the greatest help to uplifting dalits. It might also be possible that the greater work was done by another person but the marxist government we have would prefer to keep him in the limelight.
