The closest English word for Nischya that I can think of are:-
1. determination
2. certainty |

Namaste,
why do i ask. the security company i work for. has change the name of there security system department into Niscayah. and the translation of this is what they say is save and reliable/trustworthy.
thats why i am asking. i want to be sure of this.

I think there is slight differnce !
Nischayah = Certainty etc. therefore may be trustworthy
NishKaya or Nishcaya = Without Body
The system department is without body, and therefore accessible from every where!
It is difficult to tranliterate into English
I think the second one Without Body may be the intended meaning

I meant transliterate, ie. putting the word in English with exact sound.
I am not a sanskrit scholar, but i was explaining from my understanding and view point.
kaya is body, therefor nishkaya is without body
where as nishchaya is another word which denote conclusion or assertion, or being certain.
In Sanskrit, Hindi, Malayalam etc, we write as we spell. there is no rule how to spell it. If you know how to read the alphabets and letters there is no problem in reading it. there is no further rule or law. Therefore there are more than 500 alphabets in these indian languages.
Where as in English and similar languages, we write some alphabets and then spell it, based on the combination of letters. There are only 26 aphabets, the combination gives different pronunciation. It is really difficult to transliterate the Sanskrit ot Hindi words into English, to get the pronuncition as in the original language. Transliteration is writing the same word in another language to create the same sound.
If one writes the word in Devanagari, one can always say the meaning in certainty. There will be no confusion at all, and no difficulty for translation.
