Namaste

Thanks for the warm words, you've made me feel very welcome.

Just to give everyone a brief introduction to myself.

I am British born, and based in the U.K. Currently working full-time, and enjoy the simple things in life.

I have been involved in various religious Hindu organisations. I came across the Arya Samaj whilst I was still studying at university. It was at this point in time, that it gave my soul a need to ascertain what the truth is and to believe in it.

Also as a Hindu, we always hear about the Vedas in every Hindu organisation. But we never seem to read it or do any research into what the truth is. Therefore, from conducting my own research and reading the Satyarth Prakash it has made me a better person, since its given me a constructive purpose in life. So that's basically how I am where I am now.

Please also share your views eg personal opinions of Arya Samaj, how you feel it should make progress, any objectional beliefs etc. I value everyone's opinions. Since "Noble thoughts should come from every direction"

From a personal point of view, I am very much still interested in acquiring more books. So could you also inform me as to where I can obtain them. Even if they are from abroad, I am more than happy to pay the relevant costs.

I am more than happy to send any Vedic books (English) out to anyone else free of charge (irrespective of where they live). All you need to do is provide me with your address details.

Regards, Hiten[/quote]

Namaste Hiten,

Thank you very much for that informative and personal introduction to yourself. I am sure you will fit in here quite well. Very Happy

You might be interested in this post: Ways to promote Arya Samaj. We are currently discussing ideas that we could try and implement or get started through the medium of this forum. If you have ideas, please share!

Also, you mentioned finding Vedic Books. There is a great source of Vedic Literature to be found at the Vedic Books Website run by Mr. Ajay Kumar. His store has many good books on almost every aspect of Vaidik Dharm at very reasonable prices. If you don't already know of it, then you really shouldn't miss out. It's a veritable goldmine of Vedic Wisdom.

And as for your sharing Vedic Books - how generous and noble of you! I am sure there will be some individuals here who will gladly take you up on that offer (myself included Very Happy )! Is there anything particular in your possession that you would recommend?

And thank you again for joining our small yet growing online community. We are doing our humble best to spread Vaidik Dharm, and you seem like a great addition to our group. If you have any suggestions for improvement or comments on the forum organization, please do not hesitate to let me know about it.

Namaste Shishya

Thanks for your kind words. Very Happy

I have indeed come across Vedicbooks.com, but was just wondering if there was something more local within the UK in order to acquire books. Never mind, I am more than happy to acquire Vedic books wherever they come from.

I have a small collection of used books, and usually pass them onto anyone that wishes to learn something new.
At the moment, I have a few books of Vaidik Bhakti. Its basically, full of Vedic Hymns, Bhajans etc. Its a very good looking book, and serves its purpose for any Arya. If anyone does want a copy please let me know asap.

I have also recently acquired a copy of Vedic Thoughts. I haven't got round to reading it yet, but from looking at the contents page I would highly recommend it. Once I have read it, I will share my thoughts with everyone on this forum.

In regards to the forum, I think we can promote it via links through the global Arya Samaj websites. I only happened to come across the toolbar, because I read someone's comments in a guestbook. Other than that, I would say its immensely knowledgeable for anyone, and particularly user friendly.

Hope my comments have helped. May Param Pita Parmatma help us to make this world better - Krinvanto Vishvam Aryam

That's definately something I've been trying to accomplish. I have also set up a Directory for Arya Samaj Websites in the hopes of getting other webmasters to join, thus linking all the sites around the world together.

You can view the Arya Samaj Website Directory here.

It's a humble start, but hopefully it will continue to grow. Very Happy
