Sa prem, Namaste!

On this day, one hundred and thirty three years ago, an illustrious Sannyasi declared to the world that every man, woman and child has the right to know God. Each has the right to read his revelation, Vedas, and to practice these teachings; to embrace Truth and to forsake untruth; to think for themselves and to work towards the good of all, and in doing so, find individual prosperity.

With this declaration, a few souls imbued with love for their Dharma gave birth to a movement that would one day awaken humanity from the slumber it had fallen into. The movement was called The Arya Samaj and the illustrious Sannyasi was Rishi Dayanand Saraswati.

One hundred and thirty three years after its birth, the world is awake.

After many sacrifices, struggles, and hardships, the Arya Samaj has worked tirelessly for the Spiritual, Social and Physical well-being of all mankind, and it will continue to do so.

With a leader who was able to clear many hindrances for this movement and manage to cultivate the soil for generations to come, the Arya Samaj was able to make positive contributions to every fragment of society and the world at large over the past one hundred and thirty three years.

This movement has served humanity yesterday, have done so today, and will continue to do so in the years to come. As we celebrate this day of great historical and spiritual significance, it is a time for us all to be proud of what we are a part of and the principles we stand for as a Samaj.

This is a time for us to overcome all of our differences and convert those negative feelings towards each other with positive ones and let them empower us to grow and to develop for the furtherance of this movement.

However, the work that the pioneers of the Arya Samaj started is nowhere near done. The challenges this movement is faced with will continue and as they come before us, we have to stand by each other and face them with our love, togetherness, and the teachings of our great Dharma.
