OM
Namaste!
THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR DISCUSSION PURPOSES.
Please offer your feelings and/or memorials, as we commemorate, Rishi Nirvaan.
Unnecessary comments will be deleted!
O Sons & Daughters of our Rishiraaj, Swami Dayananda Saraswati!
On the 21st of October '06, millions of Dharmiks and non-Dharmiks, will join in kindling rows upon rows of Diyas, during this ancient tradition/festival of Deepavali.
This Deepavali, the Arya Samaj Forum will be observing it's first ever Rishi Nirvaan. A time where we remember and reflect upon the hardships, and joys of our great Acharya, Rishi Dayanand Saraswati.
While people from around the world will be kindling Diyas for various significances, we at the Aryan Forum will be kindling a special Diya, both physically and mentally (in our hearts), in rememberance of Rishi Dayanand Saraswati, a noble and humble soul who sowed the very seeds from which we are reaping the fruits of Vaidik Dharm & the Arya Samaj, today and in the years to come.
I too, join with all of you in paying our heartfelt tribute, to the soul that helped in someway or the other, to make us the men and women we are today.
This Deepavali, as we commemorate this somber occassion of Rishi Nirvaan, the liberation of a noble Paramaatma, let us cultivate the true mission of Swamiji, in our hearts and our daily lives.
This Deepavali, let us remove that darkness, Avidya, both from within and around us, and let us, as noble inclined men and women, work together in making this world, a better place for ourselves and for those around us.
This, sons and daughters that great Rishi, is the true mission which Swamiji strived to achieve, with the teachings and practices of the Holy Vedas, Vidya, given to us by God, Himself.
So, this Deepavali, while we kindle Diyas in our homes, and our Mandirs, let us set aside a special Diya, and kindle that light, a light that will forever be kindled until the dissolution of this world, and beyond.
I will continue to offer my heartmost thanks and love unto Rishi Dayanand, for he has helped to mold me, in the Aryan I am today.
Dhanya Haamaare Swamiji.... Dhanya Mahaan Rishi....
..Om..
Please Join in kindling an e-Diya by copying the code below, and reply by posting it, along with your message, as we commemorate Rishi Nirvaan. | Code: | | |

Thus Spoke Swamiji.....
| Quote: | | " The world is fettered by a chain forged by superstition and ignorance. I have come to snap asunder that chain and to set slaves at liberty. It is contrary to mission to have people deprived of their freedom." |
| Quote: | | "My cheif aim is to unfold truth which consists in expounding truth as truth and error as error. The exposition of error in place of truth and of truth in place of error does not constitute the unfolding of truth." |
| Quote: |
"To speak of, write about, and believe in a thing as it is constitutes truth. He that is prejudiced tries to prove that even his error is truth, while the truth of his opponent is error. He cannot therefore be called a true man." |

"We consider it the first and foremost duty of men to publish truth without fear or favour." |

Maharishi Dayananda Stavan Shloka
Akhandaad aanandaan nigama hima shailendra shikharaat prabhootaa bhootaanaam jani laya krita shankara guroh Dayaanandasyeyam sakala bhuvanaayaa'mrita padam Dishantee geer gangaa janita Shiva Sangaa Vijayate
The Ganga river containing the inspiring words of Maha Rshi Dayanand Saraswati is achieving victory by inspiring the facility in human mind that are barren and unproductive of noble thoughts. It teaches the path of freedom to all human beings and establishes connections with God.
This Ganga river flows form the peaks of the snow clad Himalayas (Veda Mountain), wherein can be found the eternal bliss of God- He,
who is the origin and dissolution of all creatures.

Dhanya Hai Tujhko
In Honor Of Rishi Dayanand.
Dhanya hai tujhko ai Rishi, too ne hame bachaa liyaa
so so ke lut rahe the ham, too ne hame jagaa diyaa
We thank you, O Rishi Dayanand, for having saved us, We were asleep in the slumber of ignorace, and you awakened us.
Andho ko aakhe mil gaye, murdo me jaan aa gayee
jaadoo saa kyaa chalaa diyaa, amrit saa kyaa pilaa diyaa
With your coming, the blind can see again, and the dead have had a new life.
The magic you have worked is unfathomable, and the nectar you have shared is indescribable.
Tum me kuchh aisee baat thee, swaamee ki teree baat par
kitne shaheed hogaye, kitno ne sar kataa diyaa
O Maharishi! What was your power that caused so many people to sacrifice their lives for the cause of humanity?
Shradhhaa se Shradhaanand ne, seene pe khaayee goliyaa
has has ke Hansraaj ne, tan man we dhan lutaa diyaa
Your disciples Shraddhaanand and hansraaj, Lekhraam and Laajpat Rai shall be remembered for many an age.
Motivated by you, Shradhaanand faced many bullets with faith, and Hansraaj smilingly sacrificed his all in the cause of Education.
Apne lahu se Lekhraam, tere kahaani likh gaye
tu ne hi Laalaa Laajpat, shere babbar banaa diyaa
Lekhram gave his blood to write your immortal story, and Laajpat Rai became a lion for national cause.
Tere deewaane jis gharee, dakhin dishaa ko chal diye
hairat nizaam reh gayaa, duniyaa kaa dil hilaa diya
When you disciples had gone to Hyderbad, in South India, to struggle for justice, the Nizam-Ruler of that city, was astonished to see their collective strenght. Your disciples forcefully shook the foundation of the Nizam's political establishment.

O Veda Jyaataa
O Rishi! Today's World Looks To You For Leadership.
O Veda kee jyaataa, tujhe jag dhoondh rahaa hai
aawaaz de too kown se nagree me chhipaa hai
O Knower of the Veda! Mankind is looking for you. We need your penetrating Vedic vision to help solve some of o ur problems.
Give us a sign where you are, O Rishi!
Aane se tere pehle, niklaa thaa diwaalaa
met-kar andhkaar, kiyaa jag me ujaalaa
rakhenge tujhe yaad jo ye upkaar kiyaa hai
Before you came on the world scene, darkness had reigned supreme. You came and removed that darkness by kindling Vedic light.
We will always remember you for this tremendous act of benevolence.
Saagar thaa dayaa kaa too, Bhaarat kaa dulaaraa
Re waah! Dayaanand too thaa duniyaa se niyaaraa
peeyosh kaa pyaalaa tere haatho se piyaa hai
You were an ocean of compassion, and the beloved of your people. Waah! Rishi Dayaananda! You were so unique in your style.
You gave us nectar to drink by expounding the sacred wisdom of Veda.
Peekar ke zeher too ne, naa chhoree bhalaa-ee
ur me hamaare too ne 'Amit' jyotee jalaa-yee
jag me agar ko-ee jiyaa to too hee jiyaa hai
You succumbed to the poison they fed you and you gave up your body on Diwali Day, October 30, 1883. Even in death you did not give up your inherent goodness. In departing on that day, you kindled eternal light in our hearts. Among all of us, you truly lived you life.

A young soul ventured into the vast fields of this earth.
Along his path, this young soul found a seed.
Taking this seed, this young soul planted it into the fertile soils of Mother Nature.
As the seed grew into a plant, likewise the young soul grew into a mature humble soul.
This humble soul watered and cared for this plant into a fruit-bearing tree.
This tree filled with fruits, fed and nurtured this humble soul into knowledgeable and an even more humble care giver.
This even more humble soul was left with an abundance of wealth, given to him from this mature and giving plant.
With this wealth, this humble soul continued his journey.
Along his journey, this soul saw many hungry people.
Sparing nothing for himself, this humble soul gave to all he saw the fruits of that giving plant.
Those who were humble and thankful, ate the fruit given to them by this humble soul, with peace.
Those who had fruits and refused to share, tried to stop this humble soul from feeding the hungry and quenching the thirst of the thirsty.
This humble soul did not stop, he felt it was his duty, to give and help others, as that tree had given unto him.
The humble soul walked for miles upon miles, feeding and quencing the thirst of all those who were hungry and thirsty.
Other humble souls saw this humble soul sharing his wealth and forsaking his own need to make those who had nothing to be happy, even with the little he had.
Those other humble souls joined this humble soul and began quenching the thirst of others and feeding their hunger.
One day while this humble soul was taking a break from sharing his wealth to the world, another soul, influenced by those greedy souls, fed to this humble soul spoilt and poisonous fruits.
This humble soul could not have done anything, but to accept that the other soul made a bad jugdement to stop him from sharing his wealth, and give himself up to God.
This humble soul forgave that other soul, and even gave him the good fruits to make him a better person.
This humble breathed his last breath and left this earth into the care of God.
Om, he chanted before he departed, Let Thy will be done.

We owe to Maharshi Dayanand who has done a huge task of reducing sufferings of the world in his short life span. It is un-imaginable!
1. Brought Vedas in its true form and gave us key to understand the hidden knowledge in it.
2. Freed Vedas from monopoly of Brahmins who never tought them to non brahmins and never practised accordind to its teaching, thus spreading wrong message to the world about Vedas eg. Idol worshiping, Bhakti withot Knowledge.
3. Courage to tell the truth and nothing but the truth.
4.For injecting Swadesh love and inducing freedom movements and preparing followers to die for our country.
4.Varn by deeds and not by birth.
5 Karm-Fal theory to explain the purpose of our coming to the earth.
6.Giving us Aryasamaj body to carry on mass movement which he started to remove bad things from our beliefs about Dharm.
IT IS UPTO US HOW WE CARRY THE MISSION TO FULL FILL HIS OBJECTIVES. HE DID ALL THIS WORK SINGLE HANDED BUT NOW I THINK WE NEED MANY MORE DAYANAND TO DO THE SAME AMOUNT OF WORK!
WE NEED STRONG DETERMINATION AND BIG ORGANIZATION. LET US START JOINING HIS MISSION FROM NOW.
Humble opinion of Dr.Yogesh Arya |

Namaste,
We are observing yet another Rishi Nirvaan Diwas at the Arya Samaj Forum. Please take this opportunity to share your thoughts and feelings on this observance.
Rishi Dayanand sacrified his life for humanity, and the least we can say is 'thank you' from the heart. Let us take this time to reflect on Swamiji's life, and try to cultivate his divine qualities into our own lives.
At a time like this, I can't help but to ask how much of us would put our own lives, our own needs and forsake them for the cause of mankind. A true gem lost.
O Swamiji! Do come back to us. You came into this world and you left so abruptly. Had you been alive today, the world would have felt your presence from pole to pole. You left us the tools necessary to carry on your mission, but yet we've failed to do so.
Come back! O Rejuvenator of Dharma!
Namaste,
Devo. |
