Namaste shisya
I am quite happy by Very Happy seeing this forum. This is a good forum. I read some postings. After I felt that I am sitting in the ‘sat sang’. I hope in future also administrator of site will manage this discussion forum as like ‘sat sang’.

I have questions to non resident Indians that how you perform havan/yajn without Indian breed cows Ghee? I heard it is necessary for making havan.
In my view administrator give permission to hindi language for postings. Because it helps to the people who do not have good command on English

Namaste Surya Narayan ji,

I too, join with Shishya in extending a warm and cordial welcome to you.

We are happy to have you as part of our online family, and even more so, that you find our forum to be like a 'gathering of those noble and righteously inclined men and women'. I look forward to your futhur contributions, whereby we can all learn from each other.

With regards to the Ghee:

As you mentioned, it is essential that we use cow's ghee, for the performance of Havan.

However, I don't think it is necessary that we use the ghee, primarily from 'Indian' breed cows. As an N.R.I, I use ghee imported from countries like Guyana, Sri Lanka, India, e.t.c.

Namaste,
Devo.

Namaste Surya Narayan Ji,

Thank you for your kind words regarding the forum. I, too, hope that the atmosphere of mutual respect and genuine interest in personal growth and learning that we have hitherto enjoyed continues into the future.

Regarding the possibility of having a Hindi-Language Section: I have considered the possibility. However, it would require a moderator all it's own who is well versed in Vaidik Dharm and the Arya Samaj so as to be able to give good answers to any that may pose them. At this point, I would be unable to take up this position in addition to my present duties and ongoing projects. However, I would be interested in finding such a person for the future. If you know of anyone interested in such a position, please do send them our way. Wink

Regarding 'Indian' Cows and Ghee: The only reason I could possibly see for this would be that (ideally speaking) healthy Indian cows are born and raised in an atmosphere where homa is being performed on a regular basis and is being used to replenish the ecosystem where the cows feed and give their milk. This is illustrated in the following diagram:

In this case, I could see an argument for using Ghee from India. However, as homa farming is becoming more and more widespread throught the world, this need not necessarily remain so. [For an example of a site promoting homa agricultre - and the source of the graphic above - click here.

PostPosted: Mon Nov 06, 2006 9:44 pm    Post subject: homa therapy, achivement Reply with quote

Namaste shish ji
Yesterday I visited the homa therapy website. At first time I got this information. I was not expected this type progress in foreign.
In how many countries it is going on ? Continuous of this type process more important. If it is continued then there is no doubt heaven will be created on earth.
Once upon a time after asking my aim by a person I told them that “ making earth as heaven” is my aim. But in present condition not possible. But I do not forget it. In my opinion, this is also not impossible but needs time may be some rebirths.
About achievement at 9th standard I was wrote a small poem in my mother tongue. Now I am memorizing that and translated to English. But 3 to 4 lines are not remembering. (Don’t consider me in the list of poet. When my school magazine was at first time published. Then I wrote, my feelings which was in those days)

Achievement

Mind it, except nature there is nothing impossible
Knowing this ready to achieve something
Dear, at first birthday A year is lost.
And death comes to near. Which, what u want start from this day.

Earth has both organic and inorganic
Taking essential, is not small seed grown to huge tree?

Is ship did not reached the goal
After making death as the way?

After thousand and eight hundred tries
Is not dark world also traveled towards light.

Be courageous, be brave a second, second makes a year
Small, small drops becomes a great sea.
A bit of fire burn all forest

Namaste Surya Ji,

I like your poem. Especially the line: Taking (that which is) essential, is not (a) small seed grown (in)to (a) huge tree? That is a very nice image for presenting the truth that we need only take that which is essential to us to grow strong and that excess and gluttony are neither necessary nor natural - if I understand your meaning correctly, that is.

How many countries is Homa Farming being practiced in? I do not know for certain. However, I know that it is being practiced in several countries around the world, in North and South America, Western and Eastern Europe. There have also been several studies performed by Ph.D.'s in America and India which prove through empirical standards the benefits of Homa Farming over modern farming techniques where artificial chemicals and such are used. It is this aspect which has scientists interested in doing more research on the Vedic Sciences in relation to organic farming. Of course, they do not (yet) acknowledge the spiritual benefits of performing Homa, but they cannot deny the benefit experienced by plants and animals in an environment where it is regularly performed. So, one way or another, the truth of Vedic practices will be revealed.
