Basically i am from mauritius, a small island near east coast of madagascar. It is also called the pearl of indian ocean as our island is very exotic especially for tourism.. But since childhood we are brought up in arya samaj.. We have one main branch too but the one i usually go was from our village itself where i went to hindi classes(patshala) and learn havan , had bhajan kirtan. To be frank i know little hindi but i understand hindi. I can write hindi and read sanskrit too. But i dont understand sanskrit though i read it for performing yajna.

Our island is bilingual in english and french and we mostly talked french or creole but mom speaks bhojpuri mainly.

I have been working in state secondary school for over 5 years and now i hv just settled in canada for one and half year. As i was looking for one arya samaj in toronto where i can go(for the first time since i came to canada), i came across this site which i find it really interesting.
