We repeatedly bow unto the Great Lord, God,
Who is a personification of Sat (Truth), Chit (Consciousness), and Aanand (Bliss).

Namaste,

It is with great sadness that I formally announce the passing Bahin Mitra's Grandmother.

To lose a loved one is very painful, and there is nothing that can compensate for that loss. We, Bahin Mitra's online family, can offer our feelings and our words of comfort during her time of grief. It is the least we can do for our dear sister. You are most welcome to do so in this thread.

I join with all of you in praying for that departed Aatma.

Wherever life's journey may have taken Bahin Mitra's dearly departed Grandmother, we pray that her soul reap all that is benefical, all that is postive, all that is enriching to whatever bigger and better things God may have in store for her.

We pray that may her relatives find comfort in the happy memories that will live with them forever. May her soul find peace wherever it maybe, and whatever it may be going through.

Namaste Mitra ji,

My greatest apologies, for I'm not unable but incapable of expressing any condolences to such incidents. After a few incidents in my life since last year, I have become more of a cold-hearted person devoid of affection and sorrow. However, when relatives pass, I always think of this:

In my childhood, when I lost my grandfather a day before we were just going to meet him on his death bed, or my great-grand mother who died with the last wish to see my then baby sister (which remained unfulfilled), the feeling of sorrow that they never got to see them remains. But I feel, these form of attachments we have to overcome. We have to bid them farewell, for they have overcome a body of pains and will be revitalised once again, with a fresh chance to gain knowledge and attain the supreme once again. When I think of death, I'm overcome by sorrow. But I say, we should think of birth and be overcome by happiness instead. And I say, the greatest honours we can give to their memories by showing that their loss has incurred no harm on our daily life - we should be as lively as we always have been, so that no sense of guilt might remain on the departed soul.

Namaste ,
I thank everyone for this outpouring of support and love.
My Nani died peacefully after a hectic day of preparations for the Sankranti festival . She left in full consciousness chanting the name of Hari ,even as her pain kept increasing . She lead a model life of discipline and Seva ,always was immersed in pujas japams and reading the Geetha - all this in a hectic household.
We are all left amazed by the quality of life she achieved and all that she accomplished - I guess she achieved the all the Purusharthas . We are just thankful that we got to be close to her and learn from her and were blessed by her. I take this moments to cherish her memories and what she taught us by example.
Thanks again everyone . God bless.

Namaste everyone,

I am indeed very saddened to hear that Mitraji's naanee passed. Mitraji, these things happen in life and they are all inevitable; no-one can stop them from happening. I would also like you to think of it this way: she did not pass away, she passed on to a better world and she will be looking down upon you. I am sure she would not want to see you sad, so make her proud and delve deep into her sweet memories whenever you feel sad. It will bring a smile to you and she will be happy. God bless you and may He shower on you as much strength as you need to get through this grieving time. Namaste.
