A Happy & Properous Holi to each and everyone of you.
Holi, the festival of colours, will be celebrated on March 4th, 2007.
Feel free to wish each other a happy holi, and tell us what's happening in your part of the world.

Namaste All,
wishing al of you and your family and friens the same.
how we will celebrate, wel me not, i have to work. i think the wife and kids wil do something. the whole month wil be in the Holi celebration, parties and parties and some more parties everywere from The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Happy Holi Everyone.
I got my visa to USA stamped last Holi by a stern looking officer in the US consulate with some pink and green streaked on her cheek while the rest of her was a formal black suit. I guess it was the spirit of Holi which made my stamping such a breeze.
I never ever played colors on Holi though...

Shubh Holi you too.
Holi is festival of colours. Which I know, holi has the background of, Burning of kamadev by shivaji’s 3rd eye. Saints says that as shivaji burned the kamadev, we also try to burn our ill wills.
Another story is that it is the burning of Holika (sister of hiranykashyap) who was has the intention to burn the Prahlad. Instead of burning Prahlad, she herself burned.
As aryasamaji you also celebrate holi (in India for enjoyment all religion peoples are celebrate holi).
What are the thought of Aryasamaj about celebration of holi. Aryasamaj what thinks about background of holi.
In this shubh holi topic I also discuss about the, how was the Hiranyakashyapus life is ended. (I think aryasamja accepts that Hiranyakashyupu was also lived on this earth). If it is by Narasimha, then how was Narsimha borned.
In fire if holika was burned then, why the Prahlad (who was sat along with Holika) was not burned?
For this Puranas tells more, but I am looking aryasamaj’s views.

Namaste, only thing i know is abouth phagwa is that is abouth winning good over evil. some say its abouth the harvest getting in, other say its our new year. i really ont know!!!!!!

Two months were passed but no one did not think, it is necessary to answer the questions and solves the doubts of non aryasamaji.
But if any things are not suits or not adust or not comparable to aryasamaj then there is no hesitation to criticize that, with disrespectfully.
I give respect to aryasamaj and would like to know more about aryasamaj
