Namaste Bhaaiyo aur Baheno,
According to the Vedas (Fount of all True Knowledge), man's ultimate goal is God-realization, which can only come about through self-realization.
When the soul would have reached that state of Moksha (liberation), or in other words would have fulfilled his goal of God-realization, then that soul would be absorbed in Brahmalokha (Abode of God). This abode of God is the only true Heaven.
When the soul is absored in the abode of God that soul can choose to be born again or it can choose to remain as it is. For example, Arya Samajists refer to Shri Krishna as an 'enlighted' human being, because we believe that Shri Krishna had, in his past birth(s), achieved that state of Moksh and hence had the option of returning in Human form to awaken humanity for the cause of Dharma ( Righteous Living).
Some religious beliefs systems adhere to a belief that there are two states the the soul goes to when it would have left this physical body. These two states are referred to as 'Heaven' and 'Hell'.
If one were to adhere strictly to the principles of the respective scriptures, accept certain individuals as god and repent for one's sins, then and only then can one go to this region of 'Heaven'.
If one were to disobey those religious principles, and fail to accept their respective messiah as god and fail to submit themselves to that god, then those souls go to the region call 'Hell'.
On the contrary, Arya Samajists believe in no such states/regions. We believe that this so-called 'Heaven' and "Hell' is right here on earth.
Why?... Because we strongly believe in Karma (Actions). You reap what you sow. We believe that a soul reaps the fruit of it's action(s) preformed in it's past birth.
Unless we break this cycle of 'birth and death' we will continue to be bound by our Karm, our actions. The way we live, the way we interact with each other, the principle(s) we live by, the judgements we make, our adherance to the five Panch Maha Yajnas (Five daily duties of all Human Beings), and our ability to remove ourselves from Avidya (Ignorance) will play a part in our next birth, if so be it.
When we see babies who are born blind, or deaf, or without a limb, we wonder why such things can happen to such innocent souls. Such things happen because of our Karm.
We are then born into this world again, with a clean slate (so to speak) to correct our wrong-doings in our past birth(s) and to realize our true selves in accordance with the dictates of Dharma, i.e. righteous living.
We cannot change our past Karm, but we can live righteously to provide a better life for ourselves in our next birth.
Ved Maa provides us with the necessary ways and means of realizing ourselves and the All-blissful God.
Do good things, and good things will come your way. Treat people with respect, and you will be respected. Preform you duties towards your parents, friends and family, the environment, and those animals around and we can live in a state of 'Heaven' on earth. If not, then expect to live in 'Hell' right here on earth.
Please feel free to provide your opinion on my viewpoint. Tell us what you view differently or in a similiar manner. Also, please be respectful in your discussion(s). When we are open minded and respectful, we would be able to learn a whole lot more.
Namaste,
Devo. |
