Sa prem, Namaste!

The New Year is here, and we've bid adieu to a year of joy and of sorrow. We've faced life's many challenges whether simple or difficult. We have experienced the world as it stands before us.

As the saying goes, "Don't cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”. The means that we should not get hung up on whatever happened in the past. To make an end is to make a beginning. Let this New Year be an opportunity for us to get it right.

As Swamiji said, “The sole aim of my life which I have also endeavored to achieve, is help to put an end to this mutual wrangling, preach universal truths, bring all men into the fold of one religion whereby they may cease to hate each other and, instead, may firmly love one another, live in peace and work for their common zeal.”

Now, more than ever, we need to impart these words of our beloved Rishiraaj in our lives and in the lives of those around us, and we too should aim towards achieving Swamij’s vision of Krinvanto Vishwam Aaryam: Making the Universe Noble. In response to the many man-made disasters and catastrophes, the teachings of Rishi Dayanand and our Vaidik way of life is essential to help ease the sufferings of millions of unfortunate souls in our troubled world.

This New Year, let there be “Peace in heaven, sky and on earth. Let water flow to quench our thirst for peace. Let all trees and plants provide cool shade for a peaceful humanity. Let peace be in the hearts of all educated men, for them to share it with troubled minds. God is the Source of peace, and His Divine Scripture teaches the way to that peace. May that peace extend its influence in every nook and corner of this globe. Let there be peace and only peace. May that peace come to me, too.” *
